HOMEGROWN NRL HERO SIDELINED WITH CALF INJURY

CHARLEVILLE’s NRL star Kurt Capewell has been sidelined for four weeks after succumbing to a calf injury, just minutes before the Warriors took the field against Canberra in Auckland last Friday night.
Capewell picked up the injury during the warm-up and since then, the Warriors have confirmed the Queensland State of Origin player will be out of action until the round six clash with Melbourne.
The 31-year-old second-rower was among the stand-outs for the Warriors in their 42-18 opening round win over the Sydney Roosters, with parents Darryl and Lyn among the sell-out crowd at Go Media Stadium.
The Warriors followed up with a 40-6 thrashing of the Raiders and now turn their attention to early season surprise packets Newcastle, who are also undefeated after collecting the wooden spoon last year.
