THE Western Rugby League season continues tomorrow (Saturday) when Cunnamulla hosts the second round involving the Rams, Thargomindah Bulls and Charleville Comets.
For veteran player Rob Warner and his beloved Thargo Bulls, it continues their comeback story, having played their first game last Saturday in almost a quarter of a century.
“We’ve come back but not in a way we wanted to but mate it’s all good. We’re lovin’ it,” says 45-year-old Warner, referring to Thargo failing to score a point in either game in the opening round.
For tomorrow (Saturday), Cunnamulla play Charleville in the first game at 3pm, followed by the 4pm clash between the Comets and the Bulls.
The second round action concludes with the 5pm game between Thargo and the Rams.
We’ll have more on local footy today (Friday) in Costo’s drive show from 3pm including interviews with Western Rugby League players and officials.
