QUILPIE AIRPORT RUNS OUT OF AVGAS

The airport’s owner, Quilpie Shire Council, confirmed the lack of supply via social media yesterday afternoon, as reported in our LOCAL NEWS this morning.
Despite the situation at Quilpie, we understand there are no such issues at other Outback airports.
“We’ve got plenty at Charleville,” Pete Wade from South West Air Service said on Facebook this morning amid reports that motorists are now paying up to $3.28 a litre for fuel in Outback Queensland.
Early this afternoon, at the bowser at all three outlets in Charleville, the price of diesel had climbed to $3 per litre.
We’ll have more on the fuel situation in Costo’s drive show today after the 3pm news.
