FORMER SCHOOL MATES REUNITE AFTER 66 YEARS

TWO former Charleville State School students have met up for the first time in 66 years.

Catching up at the Charleville Show over the long weekend, David Day and Glen Collins had not seen each other since their primary school days in 1960.

Mr Day, now a Melbourne-based author, was making his first trip back to Charleville since leaving town to start high school before embracing a life of literature and travel.

His latest work will encapsulate the history of Charleville, as outlined in Costo’s drive show last Thursday.

The book is expected to be published by the end of next year.
