MAYOR Zoro Radnedge has exploded over an act of vandalism, just metres from the banks of the Warrego River in Charleville.
Speaking in the lead up to Murweh Shire Council’s 2026-27 budget meeting, Cr Radnedge hit out at the person or persons responsible.
“This absolutely disgusts me,” the Mayor fumed, delivering his weekly Facebook address, as reported today in our LOCAL NEWS on 4RR-FM.
“The amount of time, effort and money and ideas that are put together to make our community more liveable.
“Whoever was stupid enough to light a fire on one of our seats on the riverwalk. Seriously?”
Mayor Radnedge is now appealing for anyone with information to come forward, so authorities can take the appropriate action.
“If you see any form of vandalism, please report it to the Charleville Police Station or contact us here at Council,” he says.
“This stuff needs to be called out. It needs to be stopped. It’s absolutely stupid. It’s such a waste of public money.”
