DIRRANBANDI’s future has been given a boost, thanks to $1.85 million in funding from the Queensland Government through its Residential Activation Fund.
The funding will allow for new trunk infrastructure, specifically, the installation of new water mains in and around Waterson and Crothers Streets to pave the way for future property connections in this area. The works are the result of Balonne Shire Council’s detailed planning and local feedback via consultation.
Preparation has commenced on the tendering process to deliver the improvements from this funding, with work to be scheduled once the tender process is finalised.
