CHARLEVILLE has been profiled by Channel 7’s hugely popular Weekender program, telling Australians what our part of the world has to offer.
The show went to air last Sunday at 5.30pm, with marquee local attractions such as the Charleville Cosmos Centre in the spotlight.
Kelly Hensley from the Outback Queensland Tourism Association has welcomed the publicity as tourists from far and wide continue to roll into the region.
“This feature has been a remarkable opportunity to showcase the heart and soul of the South-West, its communities, iconic locations and the unique experiences that define life in Outback Queensland,” the OQTA operations manager says as Murweh Shire Council looks to hire a new tourism manager.
“A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who contributed to bringing this story to life.
“Your support and passion have helped share the magic of the South-West with a wider audience.”
