AGFORCE in the South-West will continue to be led by Augathella grazier Geoff Swanson for the next three years.
Mr Swanson has been re-elected unopposed as regional president, meaning he’ll stay in the job until 2029, as reported on 4RR-FM news today.
At the recent elections, Karhlia Smith, from Hammond Downs near Windorah, was elected as a regional councillor.
A vet by profession, Ms Smith was on the frontline last year when many parts of Western Queensland were seriously impacted by floods.
She is the only new face, joining Anna Appleton, Fred Bryant, Brock Hindmarch, Kate Maloney and Jacqui Tickell.
Mr Swanson says he was looking forward to serving AgForce members in the South-West for another term.
