LESS than a dozen ratepayers or residents turned out for last week’s community consultation in relation to Charleville’s Aurora Estate.
The meeting, organised and promoted by the Murweh Shire Council, was held in the Council Chambers in Charleville last Wednesday from 6pm. Aside from the general public, the meeting was also attended by representatives of Council and the successful tenderer, Brisbane-based Durack Civil.
As per our photograph, snapped just after 6pm with the permission of those in attendance, only 10 people from the community turned up.
According to Mayor Zoro Radnedge, who arrived soon after, the second stage of the estate will be a godsend for Charleville.
In other Council news, the search for a replacement CEO is underway, with advertisements popping up on various platforms.
Council is also advertising for a new media and communication manager, with the job paying up to $101,000 per annum.
