SHITBOX RALLY ROLLS THROUGH THE SOUTH WEST

SLEEPY Wyandra has returned to normal after a commotion over the weekend thanks to the famous Shitbox Rally.

Raising money for the Cancer Council, the ‘winter’ rally stopped off at Wyandra after crossing the QLD/NSW border and passing through Cunnamulla.

“It was a great boost for our little community,” the Wyandra Pub posted on its Facebook page after some curious locals turned out to greet the visitors.

The fun-filled event continued today from Charleville, on a 511-kilometre trek to Longreach which included almost 200 clicks on the dirt.

The rally’s starting point was the regional Victorian city of Mildura, with day two beginning in the western NSW mining town of Cobar.
