PEOPLE from all walks of life have thrown their support behind the State Emergency Service’s ‘Wear Orange Wednesday’ promotion.
For WOW Day, the community was asked to wear orange, in recognition of our hard-working SES volunteers who are best known for their efforts during times of natural disaster.
Even here at 4RR-FM, we got into the spirit, with trainee broadcaster Laquisha O’Neil proudly donning orange during her LIVE and LOCAL lunch-time show.
Other workplaces in the South West also showed their support, as did local school students, as the SES celebrates National Volunteer Week.
Quilpie SES member Alina Graham was among those recognised, finishing in the top three at the State’s Volunteer of the Year awards.
