A MAN has walked away after crashing his car into a footbridge in Charleville.
The accident happened around two o’clock this morning when the Toyota RAV4 ploughed into the pedestrian crossing at Bradley’s Gully.
“He thought it was a car bridge instead of a footbridge. He stuffed up big time,” says Darryl Dobbin, who lives just across the street.
A police spokesperson says no-one was injured in the prang, which left the NSW-registered vehicle with substantial damage.
It was later dragged away from the approach to the footbridge to its current location in Parry Street.
