POLICE are trying to piece together the cause of a single vehicle accident near St George that claimed the lives of two people.
As reported on-air this morning in our LOCAL NEWS, the double fatality happened on the Balonne Highway about 40 kilometres west of St George at lunchtime yesterday when a vehicle collided with a tree.
Sadly, the driver and a passenger were found deceased inside the vehicle.
“The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the events leading up to the crash, the identity of the two people and the time the incident occurred,” police media says on its Facebook page.
